This red wine is made with the Mencía variety of grape and then fermented traditionally in stainless steel at controlled temperatures between 23 and 27 degrees before being transported to medium toasted french oak barrels where the wine sits between 5 and 6 months.
The wine is a lovely red colour with a violet rim. It is complex and elegant on the nose with notes of dark fruits such as blackcurrants and blackberries as well as vanilla, menthol and spices. To taste it comes through warm and powerful on the palate and equally smooth and balanced. There is a certain sweet point that comes through giving it soft and light liquor notes.
