VIA XVIII Garnacha

Another fine wine from Bodegas Viña Costeira and Manuel Castro who continue to develop the profile of this region and innovate. Having been pioneers of reviving the local Treixadura grape, they have not rested and continue to explore the possibilities of their region and terroir.

This is the first, and currently only bottling of this wine. Using old vines of around 80 yrs old, the bodega wanted to make a wine that showed off the expression of this varietal in this region. All the rich, dark fruit from garnacha is here along with some of the elements more typical of a Mencía – fresh acidity and smooth.
