Marqués de Riscal Verdejo
A pioneering company that bottled the first Rioja wine in 1862 and went on to become the first non French winery to wine recognition at the Bordeaux Exhibition in 1895. Marqués de Riscal is based in the Álava province of Rioja and are famous for their striking hotel designed by Frank Gehry and their collection of wines dating all the way back to the first vintage bottled in 1862. The winery continued to innovate and became the first to bottle the fresh, fruit driven whites of the neighbouring region of Rueda.
This Verdejo is light and zesty with all the fresh acidity we associate with Rueda wines. A great all-rounder that sits well at any dinner table.
