Created in 1973 and situated on the outskirts of Logroño in Rioja Alta, Bodegas Olarra’s winery is known locally as “the Cathedral of La Rioja”. The clay and chalky soil of the vineyard is watered by both the rain and the river Ebro, while the area also benefits from warm sunshine and the climatic influence of the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.
Aged for 20 months in oak barrels, the Cerro Añon Rioja Reserva combines fine, complex aromas of rich black fruit and spices. On the palate it is round and well balanced with a long and persistent finish.
