Located in the historic village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Bodega Classica winery is flanked by the rivers Ebro and Sierra de Toloño and is excavated into the side of the mountain, which provides excellent year-round temperature control. The soils in this region are mostly calcareous clay delivering great acidity to the wine.
The Lopez de Haro Rioja Blanco (named after the founder of Bilbao) is wonderfully fresh with a bright greenish straw yellow colour. It has a lingering fruity bouquet with intense citrus and apple aromas. Fresh and silky on the palate with a vibrant fruitiness, it is balanced with an uplifting acidity. The wine is in French oak barrel for 3 months resulting in a very long finish to the wine.
