Palacio de Bornos was established in 1870 in the town of La Seca, but in 1976 the fifth generation of the family started a new winery in the town of Rueda. Antonio Sanz founded his winery seven years before the DO Rueda was created, producing young fruity white wines and harvesting mainly by night; his highly regarded work has since won numerous awards, and Sanz is particularly credited for his introduction of Sauvignon blanc to the region.
This Verdejo is fermented and aged for 4 months in oak barrels resulting in a golden yellow wine, with lots of ripe fruit hints.
