Quinta 67 Garnacha
The vineyards of Gernacha Tintorera are located around Alpera, at 900m above sea level. Planted between 1970 and 1980, these vines are kept in servere weather conditions, enduring snowfall over winter and drastic fluctuations in temperature over the summer. This helps shape the distinct flavour of this wine, which the producer wishes to pay homage to his generation with (the “Babyboomers”).
The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation as it ages in new French oak barrels for 14 months. Hand-harvested grapes begin this process at the beginning of October and the result is a deep red, complex aroma of ripe berries, scpies and balsamic notes. This fruity wine boasts bold flavours of chocolate and liquorice, with a long persistant finish, perfect for those who enjoy a powerful wine.
