Bodegas Estraunza is a second generation family business situated in Rioja Alavesa on the north side of the river Ebro and on the southern foothills of the Sierra Cantabria mountain range.
This wine is fermented in steel and the wine is subsequently micro-oxygenated for a higher extraction of natural flavours. Both American and French oak is used for 24 months and a subsequent 18 months in bottle which produces a cherry colour with ruby hues. It has intense ripe fruit aromas with a slightly toasted scent; it is beautifully full bodied.
