Flor de Muga is produced using very old garnacha vines between 70 and 90 years old at an altitude of 600 – 750 meters utilising two different soil types, ferros clay and chalk clay. The fruits produced by these two distinct soil types are fermented seperately over 4 months before finally being combined together in a coupage, stabilised then bottled.
Flor de Muga has a pale pink colour with violet hues and delivers notes of strawberries and peach on a background of rose blossom. The wine, unusually for Rosé, has a lot of body to it, and a slight oiliness, culminating in a complex wine utilising its minerality and well balanced acidity to deliver a truly unique wine.
